Role & Responsibilities - What you will do:
As Head of Publishing, you will be a key leader in defining and executing our global publishing strategy, aimed at sourcing, testing, and scaling chart-topping hybrid-casual and casual mobile games. The Head of Publishing will manage a portfolio of external studio partners, guiding them on product strategy, creative direction, and marketability to ensure high-quality game launches and sustained commercial success.
Your missions will be the following:
Strategic Studio Sourcing: Share with the Head of Business Development the profiles and specifications of games to be published, so that we identify, court, and secure long-term partnerships with high-potential independent game studios globally through outreach, industry events, and a strong industry network.
Product Leadership & Full Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire game publishing lifecycle from initial prototype to global launch and live operations. This includes guiding studios on ideation, A/B testing hypotheses, optimizing core mechanics, and defining product roadmaps.
P&L Ownership and Business Performance: Own the full profit and loss (P&L) of the assigned game portfolio, with a sharp focus on growth, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs) like CPI, retention, engagement, and LTV.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage internal analytics platforms, market trends, and data insights to drive product decisions, optimize game performance, and provide clear, actionable feedback to studio partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary bridge between external studios and internal expert teams, including User Acquisition (UA), Creative and Data departments, to align strategies and maximize game potential.
Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct deep market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, new game mechanics, and potential gaps in the portfolio, advising the leadership team on future strategy.
Team Leadership and Mentorship: (Once Arcade has scaled) Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team of publishing managers/producers, ensuring best practices are followed and fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements:
Extensive experience (12+ years) in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably within mobile gaming.
Proven track record of launching and scaling successful mobile games (hypercasual/hybrid-casual and casual experience is highly preferred).
Deep understanding of mobile game performance metrics (KPIs), ad monetization, user acquisition strategies, and the competitive landscape.
Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial modeling, valuations, and P&L management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse external and internal stakeholders.
An entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter attitude, and a passion for creating impactful, entertaining games.
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
